Fun Monday

My first visit to Science Museum! Thanks to my company which sponsored us and a group of kids from an orphanage. I also got a free quick tour of KLCC aquarium when we enquired about it.

Was the visit worth it? Let's just say I won't be visiting in near future. The exhibitions in the museum were not very interactive or attractive, some were malfunction. I prefer the park outside - consist of animal farm, wet & dry playground & plant nursery. The kids stripped some plants of its leaves (almost botak) to feed the animals. Some rabbits were found trembling in fear as the kids wanted to catch and play with it.
Me and colleagues turned foster parents on that day as we're responsible to take care of the kids. It was funny to see many of us (including myself) wearing out before lunch. Guess parenting is not easy.

Attack of orange? Nope...it is just us decking in orange.

After museum, we head to a nearby restaurant for our company high-tea. This time round we had talent time contest. Many participated except for some who gave flimsy excuses =). My department came in 2nd place - a result which I still dispute as the 1st place was won by the head of department...hmm a case of favouritism? since the judges are none other than their direct bosses =)

An unexpected hiking trip

Gasing Hill is huge! It took me one morning to discover that after I ditched the normal trail to explore new ones. Plus, the decision to go was impromptu when I agreed to join a group of friends whom I met on the spot. They're my friend's friends.
We climbed altogether 5 hills & went as far as Pantai Dalam. We were supposed to hike 7 hills but the leader had compassion over the unfit ones like me.

Morning Exercise @ Kiara Park

Praise God for the clear sky! The night before was raining heavily which lasted till the next morning. Most of us haven't been to Kiara Park before & some of us were lost. The best story is Jac whom exercised alone at a nearby park thinking she would catch up with us.

Man-made waterfall...the water can be turn on/off.

Bumped into a few friends there. With me are Yoke Fun's princesses.

Happy faces as we adjourned to our next programme ie breakfast!

A Weekend in Yong Peng

TGH - a kindy run by David & Joyce in Yong Peng(YP). The kids here are simply adorable! But communicating with some of them could be a problem if one (like myself) don't speak Mandarin. I managed to string some Chinese words together to get by =)

Joyce with one of her students. I got to see Joyce's other talent - handy skill - when she & others prepared for the kindy concert.

David played "piak" game, a self-invented game which was popular with the kids.

Brandon! It was good to see & play with him again.

The two crews from KL.

My reward for my work on that day - a hug from Brandon.

High TV antennas, a common sight in YP as the residents tune into Singapore broadcast - how lucky as they get to watch free & good programmes. Highlight of this trip includes Brandon, Brandon & Brandon!

House Blessing for Joon Liang & Juen

Our dinner! The mere sight was enough to make one salivate. And the culinary maestro is none other than Juen, our hostess.

"Is this pose ok, aunty Choon Ean?" Ophelia in thoughts.

The kids enjoyed themselves while the adults ate to their heart content. This is what I called win-win situation.

Juen with one of her kittens.

Blessing wishes for the house onwers.

More blessings.

A house warming gift from the Hos.

Birthday celebrations for the Oct cell members.

Leng luis.

Finally Choon Ean get to rest from taking photos.

It was quite an eventful night with 19 adults & 3 kids in total. Commanding their attention (for an introvert like myself) could be daunting....I lost my voice the next day, haha.
Thanks Joon Liang & Juen for having us over. Your generous hospitality is indeed blessings to our heart & stomach.
