The lovely gals.

Yum Yum.

Finally I get to eat at Paddington Pancake..yeah! Heard so much about it & sure enough the pancakes were yummy especially 1 of the desserts. Thank you Ming Ming for bringing your camera to our birthday gatherings. Earlier celebrations included at Sunseekers meeting (http://shelleyshelleyshelley.blogspot.com/2006/07/making-poh-sim-older-earlier-he-he.html); cell and dinner with siblings. As my yearly ritual, I took leave on my birthday, didnt do much, lepak in the house & watched "Tai Cheong Kam".

Celebrating Yep Ping's Birthday at Marche

Thank God we settled at Marche as the food was yummy. We changed from Paddington Cake to a Japanese restaurant & Marche. I was the latest to arrive..so "pie say". World Cup 2006 has just started, many people were glued to the TVs provided by dining places. Marche didnt install any TV wor during World Cup!

Shireen, Jaclyn, me & Choo Ean.

We threw Jaclyn a bridal shower at Ikano Power Centre on 24 Jun 06. Too bad Pei Sien couldnt join us that day (initially we planned a combine bridal shower for Jaclyn & Pei Sien). Jaclyn is super sporting, she dressed herself up with all the stuffs we gave her (included lace table cloth & rubber gloves). She walked out of the restaurant with us trailing behind her and happily posing here & there.

Romayne's farewell

Can you guess our acting? Answer is grocery shopping!

Chiang Mai trip

Our 1st stop at waterfall, we signed up for a 2D1N hiking trip.

2nd stop at hot spring.

One of the villages.

Majestic view...I guess the view compensated our sweat & pain.

Are we here for holiday or torture?

Bamboo rafting after elephant rides.

Stopover at Condom Kingdom, we're on our way to Myanmar/Thailand border.

After the immigration check-point in Myanmar, had to pay USD10 to enter here.

Golden triangle - can see Thailand, Myanmar & Laos from here.

My first holiday trip in year 2006, visited Su Foong & family in Chiang Mai with Bee & Hun Lan. I stayed there from 7 - 13 May 06, ticket was free..thanks to AirAsia! Highlights included backward toilet system (one cannot flush toilet paper into toliet bowl); shopping here is more expensive & less choice than Bangkok; different eating habit (I cannot take their sweet noodle soup, still prefer savoury soup anytime) & my poor stamina during hiking.
